You're Fired! Now please stop crying...

So I was sitting at my desk this morning finishing up my breakfast of bacon and pancakes from the cafeteria at work when someone comes up and asks me to come meet with them in the conference room. So its me, a coworker, this guy and an HR lady. Have you put it together yet? No? He tells us that this is going to be a very difficult conversation that he really doesn't want to have and that it in no way reflects our performance at the company. All the while I am sitting there thinking, dude, why is the HR lady here? Then it hits me... you got it now huh? He continues, "We are eliminating the department that you work in and your employment ends today." Of course, all I can think about is the fact that we just spent butt loads of money on appliances and crap and I totally should have seen this coming but I am really looking forward to having a little break.

So the HR lady tells us that we get a severance package and vacation time paid and cobra and stuff. So we go get our purses and they said that they will pack up the rest of the stuff for us and send it to us. Now I am glad that I cleaned out my desk a couple of days ago. It would have been really weird for someone to open my drawer and see the virtual pharmacy that I had going on in there from when I was going through my "vitamin" phase.

Oh, and I cried, like really hard. I felt really bad for the guy too because he had no idea what to do or say in the situation and looked totally sad that I was crying and like he felt it was his fault which it totally was but whatevs.

So now I am at home, in my sweatpants that I got from the teen store RUE21 with the big peace sign on them that make me feel like I am 12 again thinking about my next move. I think I want to take a nap. Why? Because I can. :)

Thanks for reading about my life and I hope you come back again.

I'm sorry to hear about your job! That has to be so hard. :( I hope you enjoy your days at home, cooking, and being all domestic. Perhaps this will be a good time of refreshment and relaxation for you before the next season of work comes along!

I think so too. We are going to Vegas at the end of the month so I have that to look forward to as well. I think this will be good for me.
